Two-for-one twisting, patterning (pre-shrinking) and false twisting of polyester filament yarn. The crepe yarn produced is used for polyester emulation silk fabrics.

A false twisting machine for crepe yarn, with a heated oven and a false twist rotor running to 220,000 rpm. The winding motor is separate from the spindle motor, so the number of false twists is settable at will.
